Professional Licensure
In response to new regulations by the U.S. Department of Education, Ashland University is publishing this required disclosure. If you have been admitted to an Ashland University program for professional licensure, the program has been designed to meet educational requirements for professional licensure in the state of Ohio. As such, a determination may not have been made regarding whether this program will meet educational requirements for licensure outside of the state of Ohio. AU does not guarantee that programs which fulfill Ohio licensure requirements will satisfy the criteria for professional licensure boards of other states and territories. Ashland University makes all efforts to determine if its licensure programs fulfill the licensure requirements of other states, however, at times this cannot be determined.
Licensure requirements vary from state to state. Students who intend to pursue professional licensure outside of the state of Ohio should contact the appropriate agency to seek guidance and information confirming licensure requirements.
